Lectors

Becoming a Lector

During Mass and other liturgical celebrations, lectors have the honor of proclaiming God’s Word in the first or second reading. The lector may also lead the Prayers of the Faithful during Mass.

If you have strong communication skills and a true love for the Word of God, we invite you to consider joining our ministry of proclaiming the Word.

Being able to procalim the Word at Mass is a wonderful way of participating in a more active way and is a very gratifying self experience.  Lectors are usually assigned to the Mass of their choice and are scheduled to read every 3 to 5 weeks.  Why not give it a chance?
