Anointing of the Sick
Jesus came to heal the whole person, body and soul. The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is a spiritual healing by which the sick person receives the Holy Spirit’s gift of peace and courage to deal with the difficulties that accompany serious illness or the frailty of old age.
The priests of Immaculate Conception Church are a phone call away in order to make arrangements when you or a loved one is in need of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Phone the Parish Office (321) 725-0552 for assistance. We also celebrate a Communal Anointing of the Sick during Mass two-three times per year. Announcements of specific dates are given in advance of the celebrations.
Baptism
By Baptism we become members of the Church, the Body of Christ. In Baptism, the Holy Spirit moves us to answer Christ’s call to holiness. In Baptism, we are asked to walk by the light of Christ and to trust in his wisdom. We are invited to submit our hearts to Christ with ever deeper love.
Fr. Ben, our Pastor, meets with interested families one Sunday per month for a BAPTISM WELCOME ORIENTATION. Families inquiring about celebrating the Baptism of an infant or child under the age of 7 are invited to call the Parish Office (321) 725-0552 for information and to register for one of the Welcome Orientation dates.
Confirmation
Confirmation deepens our baptismal life that calls us to be missionary witnesses of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, society, and the world. We receive the message of faith in a deeper and more intensive manner with great emphasis given to the person of Jesus Christ, who asked the Father to give the Holy Spirit to the Church for building up the community in loving service.
Please contact Vickie Hock vhock@icparishmb.org, Coordinator of Religious Education & Sacramental Preparation at the Parish Office (321) 725-0552 for more information and to learn how to prepare for Confirmation.
Eucharist
Jesus gives himself to us in the Eucharist as spiritual nourishment because he loves us. Click here to learn about the true presence of Jesus in the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
Matrimony
The Sacrament of Marriage is a covenant, which is more than a contract. Covenant always expresses a relationship between persons. The marriage covenant refers to the relationship between the husband and wife, a permanent union of persons capable of knowing and loving each other and God. The celebration of marriage is also a liturgical act, appropriately held in a public liturgy at church.
The Diocese of Orlando and Immaculate Conception Church require 6 months’ notice before a wedding. Please contact the Parish Office (321) 725-0552 to begin the process. One of the first things Catholics will be asked for is an updated copy (issued within 6 months of registering for marriage prep) of your Baptismal Certificate issued from the original parish of your Baptism (no personal copies). If there is need of an annulment for either party, no date can be fixed until the annulment has been granted. Marriages at Immaculate Conception Church are celebrated year-round, except during the Season of Lent.
Penance
Penance is an experience of the gift of God’s boundless mercy through confession of our sins. Confession frees us from our sins but it also challenges us to have the same kind of compassion and forgiveness for those who sin against us.
The Sacrament of Penance & Reconciliation is celebrated each Saturday from 9:00-10:00am. Feel free to approach one of our priests at any time or call the Parish Office (321) 725-0552 to request an opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament outside the scheduled times.
